About the Author

David Pressman is a secularly-retired Witness in his seventies, an Elder (with interruptions) since the Elder arrangement began, now residing in the Upstate of South Carolina, USA. Brother Pressman is a third-generation Witness who nonetheless grew up in a religiously-divided family. As a young man he enjoyed years serving as a member of the US Bethel family, thereafter briefly working with his new wife in Special Pioneer service. No longer in full-time service, he has been associated with several Congregations in both Carolinas, with two assignments corresponding to the current Coordinator assignment.

David has had a life-long interest in science, especially in electrical principles. Progressing from self-study in electricity, electronics, PLCs, and computer languages (beginning with machine language), his secular work often utilized these skills. Most of the last ten years were in team and unassisted Enterprise application development using C#, C++, and SQL, with some IT responsibilities for good measure.

On retirement David, of course, applied for any use as a remote helper, helper in local construction, etc. Meanwhile he has sought to put technical skills to use in developing JwContacts unaided. He deeply hopes this has been an acceptable sacrifice and is suitable for use by his beloved brothers.
